About We Rock the Spectrum Denver NorthWest

Nishant Patel was born and raised in India, and moved to the US with his family at the age of 12 years old. Within the US, he spent time in Columbus, OH where he did most of his schooling, and has lived in a few states before calling Denver his home for the last 5 years.

Nishant loves to travel, see live music, and spend time outdoors, actively enjoying all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer including rock climbing, skiing, and slacklining (to name a few), and sharing these experiences with his friends. Nishant strongly believes in the power of community; in his free time, actively engaging in building a stronger local community and bringing people together, hosting (or helping facilitate) a variety of different social events to form and further maintain meaningful connections and for humanitarian causes as well.

Nishant has worked with kids/adults with Developmental Disabilities for over 12 years in settings ranging from home therapy (ABA) to public schools to adventure outdoor therapy. He greatly believes in the healing powers of movement with a focus towards play-based therapy/coaching and the We Rock the Spectrum franchise fulfills his deep burning desire to help all kids move freely and meet their sensory needs–all while bringing our community together.

Throughout the years, during conversations with colleagues, Nishant has found himself saying that kids on the spectrum have taught him more about the world in general than anything else, and he will continue to learn from them.
